This 3D printed art collaboration is with Damilola Odusote, an incredibly talented London-based 2D artist.
We met Damilola at The Other Art Fair in October. Noticing the intricate detail that went into his work, we knew that making it in 3D would make for something special.
Damilola has produced sneaker-inspired work before, and after our work for the Nike launches with Rosie Lee, we started discussing the creation of something to bring iconic footwear to life. Then, we came up with this concept – a Nike Air Force 1, exploding with some of the imagery that has become synonymous with the brand, using Damilola’s unique style and character and Jon’s own 3D interpretation.
After Damilola produced the original piece in black pen, Jon went on to create the sculpture in 3D software, before it was printed in SLS nylon plastic.
