AND Digital needed an identity as exciting as their business ambitions. In an industry saturated with technical jargon, we found them refreshingly human. Our new identity system brought some playfulness to a serious business; coupled with bright colours and a quirky tone of voice, the brand has helped set AND apart from their global competitors. And then some.

The Challenge

AND Digital builds digital products and teaches digital best practice, bridging the gap between people and technology. The start-up had experienced impressive growth in just three years. But its potential was being restricted by a lack of clarity around its offering. They needed an identity that showcased their playful personality and entrepreneurial spirit; while at the same time communicating their offer in a more compelling way.

The Strategy

The original name ANDigital was a little clumsy in that people read either An Digital or And igital. Moreover there was a gift in the genius of the ‘AND’ given that as a business their role was to produce digital solutions AND teach in-house teams how to maintain the digital solutions that they built.
They were all about people AND technology.

The Design:
For the people AND Techonology

We honed in on the idea of people AND technology. We put AND front and centre by making it a bold device for multiple messaging. We married a rounded typeface with simple, colourful photography. We replaced formal with fun, and intense with imaginative.

The Impact:
Becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing digital businesses

AND is one of the fastest growing digital businesses in the UK with a workforce of around 400 people, in less than five years from a standing start.

In just eighteen months since the rebrand, the success has been huge with five times the number of new clients, over four times the number of active clients, doubled turnover in the first year, and they became a top five technical agency in Econsultancy’s Top 100 Digital Agencies.
