The Ark Cancer Centre Charity approached me for ideas to decorate the reception area of the new Radiotherapy department in Basingstoke. The main goal, to promote the fundraising for a brand new £5 million cancer centre, hopefully due to be built in Basingstoke area. As with other major projects of this kind, they key to building the case for funding is based on the support from the community. With large proportions of any target being contributed through their private donations and sponsored events. It was clear that communicating that community spirit would be the perfect subject matter for a wall mural, using hand drawn elements and flat eye-catching colour.
