About me

My name is Jon Aldridge, and I am a recent graduate of BA (hons) Graphic Design. I am willing to learn and work well with others. I'm capable of being an important team member and have good time management skills. I'm creative and feel my work communicates well with the audience. I'm a confident speaker and do not shy away from presentations. At the end of the third year I was chosen to exhibit my work at the D&AD New Blood exhibition in London.

I have 1 year industry experience with placements at some of the biggest firms in Manchester, working for clients such as Bruntwood, General Electric, Adidas, JD and so on. I have learnt a lot though these placements and have worked on a lot of different projects, from interior design, posters flyers and stationary. To client presentations and presentation packs, type setting, moving image, banners and hoardings.

I am extremely keen to secure a full time role working within design, which is a huge passion of mine. Up until this point, I have worked either on short-term temporary assignments or have undertaken unpaid work within design agencies in order to gain relevant experience.

I am now at the point where I want to work as part of an existing design team, either in-house or agency based. My main priority is to learn as much as possible from more experienced designers, who will help translate my passion for design and branding, into professional pieces of work which I can feel proud of.
