ABOUT

The Centre PAC is a performing arts college based in Rochester in Kent. It draws students from all around the world to gain the qualifications they need to pursue a career in the performing arts industry.

The college has been around for a number of years but never really had a definitive brand or logo. I was tasked with creating a logo that they could be proud of and more importantly, would make them stand out amongst other colleges in a competitive market.

There was a conscious decision when designing the logo not to go down the cliché route of using an image of a dancer or singer. As a vast majority of the disciplines associated with performing arts are based around movement, I felt it was important to convey this within the logo. I set out to design an icon that portrayed this and showed a real sense of velocity while incorporating the letter ‘C’ as the basic shape. From there, the Centre PAC logo was born

The logo now sits proudly on a number of other branded offline and online materials designed by myself such as, a prospectus, leaflets, stationery, exhibition stand and social skins.
