Several short film scripts have been placed in as finalist or semi finalist - always the bridesmaid, never the bride. A friend suggested combining my various skills to turn one of the scripts into a comic book.

Quite an undertaking. I started plotting a script but didn't fully connect to the idea of translating to comic book. So decided to start a new story - something I could write and illustrate in short chunks - something I could bend to my past interest in comic books.

Back when I started reading comics, I picked up 'The Spirit' - Will Eisner. I decided I'd develop a Neo Noir and set it in a strange anachronistic world reflecting past, present and maybe even the future.

A world that will allow a lot of play, a lot of leeway in characters and tone.

This will be a long running project - fitting pages around work - but might also serve to push digital art practice in vectors, colouring, styling.

This is the title page - aiming to make time for a page a week... so will also be aiming to speed up ;-)
