A book that looks at gardens and garden design from the angle of pattern – in plants, plantings, soft and hard materials, and layouts. The aim is to help gardeners to understand all forms of pattern and inspire them to use it to beautiful and dramatic effect in their own gardens. Illustration is key and the book is packed with gorgeous images of the use of pattern in gardens, but also with more practical images that show materials and focus closely on pattern within those materials. The result is a book that is lovely to look at, inspiring and practical all at the same time.
