Film - My First Love

A Country Wrapped in Wire. – This body of work is ongoing and was inspired while shooting “Film REvisited” – during the seven months it took to gather material for “Film REvisited” - I became fascinated with our countryside and the countless farm gates that promised a ‘hidden’ farmhouse somewhere beyond. And of course, farms that were fenced in by endless wire. There is a real intrigue driving for days and months and witnessing a country almost totally wrapped in wire.
Destined for exhibitions Milan, Italy.

Technical:
ProPhoto AirS portable lighting was used to achieve 'working-aperture' and in some cases for ‘fill-in’ light.
Shot on KODAK Tri-X 135mm Film / Nikon F5, prime lenses only, LEE Filters. Normal darkroom processing.
Silver-Gelatin handprints by, Master Printer, Dennis da SILVA – Alternative Print Workshop, Johannesburg. South Africa.
