Dear Sir/Madam,

I am applying for the Packaging Designer position that was advertised on the Creative Pool website.

For the last eight years I have worked as an in-house Studio Manager/Graphic Designer for a continually expanding and award winning packaging company servicing the food industry. I have both created packaging concepts and innovations from scratch and worked alongside designers for many big-name clients including Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Kelloggs and Weight Watchers to ensure the clients requirements are met.

With a wealth of experience as an in-house designer within the packaging industry, I am now focussed on gaining experience in a more brand-focussed position. I believe my vast experience and understanding of the packaging printing and manufacture process would bring a valuable asset to your company and assist in taking packaging concepts from an idea to practical application efficiently. My experience in managing customers print expectations would further allow a smooth transition from on-screen packaging design through to printing, ensuring accurate reproduction of brand guidelines.

I would relish the chance to develop my skills further and be involved as a part of a company with such history and brand recognition as Thorntons.
