ABOUT

This was a self led and self actuated project that started with the Linocut itself. I researched some gaps in John Lewis' table lamp range and referenced their fabric, textile and surface patterns to help guide a style. I was heavily influenced by William Morris as his designs were successful in store. Hand sketching the design to fit with a pattern repeat on the ceramic base, positioned and scaled to suit. Selecting the glaze colour, finish and fabric to compliment the style and form.
