Senior engineer on the first phase of the Nando’s UK and Ireland website replatforming programme, moving the customer-facing estate from legacy Drupal to a modern headless architecture.

The work covered reusable page blocks, structured content modelling, structured data implementation, legacy link preservation, metadata migration, performance, caching, and the integration of Storyblok with a Next.js front end. I worked across engineering, SEO, design, and content requirements to help reduce migration risk and protect organic visibility during the move to a new platform.

A key part of the project was the structured data layer, covering recipes, products, articles, and related content types. Against the pre-migration baseline, this contributed to over 349,000 additional organic sessions and more than 1.64 million GBP in organic off-premise revenue.

The result was a cleaner, faster, more maintainable platform with stronger SEO foundations and a safer route away from the legacy Drupal estate.
