Sole UI developer for the rebuild of the BBC Homepage and the introduction of BBC ID, working on one of the UK’s most visible public-facing digital products.

The work involved rebuilding the homepage interface with an accessibility-first approach, supporting responsive behaviour across emerging device categories, and helping define reusable front-end patterns for a large, high-traffic publishing environment.

I also contributed to the BBC’s “four screens” responsive design thinking, consulting across teams and applying the resulting patterns to areas including News and Weather. The project required careful attention to performance, progressive enhancement, accessibility, browser support, and the operational constraints of a major public-service platform.

The rebuilt homepage was later nominated for the Design Museum’s Design of the Year, giving the project long-term recognition beyond its immediate engineering delivery.
