When my hamster died a year after university I felt so bereft
and empty that I decided to make a new start in London. Unlike Dick
Whittington no campanile seemed ready to give me career advice so I
decided upon recruitment. Two and half years later I have come to the
realisation that I love words - their interrelation, tone,
register and syntax - too much to renounce the opportunity to use
them in a more creative manner than currently.
So, in sympathy for the loss of my hamster or
