ABOUT

Today, on the International Day of the Girl Child, The International Solidarity Foundation has taken a significant step by proposing the inclusion of female genitalia on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

This pledge aims to provide protection against female genital mutilation (FGM), a practice affecting over 200 million girls and women worldwide and tragically leading to 44,000 deaths annually.

The International Solidarity Foundation submitted their application to Finland's Ministry of Education and Culture and the representatives of UNESCO in Finland. Additionally, they directly addressed UNESCO, expressing their commitment through 60 billboards near UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
