My first attempt at type design. I used the word ‘Reflect’ as a starting point, I decided to create a typeface that can either be constructed by the user, or be used in a conventional way. To achieve this, every letter was designed to the same strict grid system, I tried to keep the typeface simple to construct with, while keeping elements such as curves in there to make it more interesting. All angles and line heights are consistent.
