A third year university brief was to reinvent something that had become outdated, I chose afternoon tea. I felt the reason this meal was becoming outdated was because people didn't have time for it anymore. I set out to create a quick and easy form of afternoon tea for todays fast paced lifestyle. To achieve this I decided to jellify the entire meal, using plane jelly mix and flavouring it with things such as breakfast tea, sponge cake, jam, cucumber and bread. Layered in a single jar this could be purchased and eaten on the go.
