Who We Are:

Dauntless® is a York, England start-up automotive company in the process of creating the ultimate evolution of the Land Rover Defender Classic. Know your cars? Think the Singer Porsche, the Alfaholics Alfa Romeo Guilia, Automobili Amos Lancia Delta Integrale and their ilk and you'll understand where we're aiming. Started by former Jaguar Land Rover marketeer Joe Shepherd, after six years of research, design and development we're readying ourselves for launch, and we require the skills of a talented individual to help us create some of the content we require before the big day, and hopefully beyond.

What We Need:

Content, apparel, and stationery design, in short.

Social Media & Print Advertising (Poster) Design.

We want to make the brand unique in our space and this needs to be evident from the beginning in the form of the initial teaser ads we release on social media. We envisage four teaser ads representing our master brand, the the derivative brand of the limited run of launch vehicles, and two further sub brands for our special projects division and alternative powertrains.

Music has influenced the brand (think Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, The White Stripes, Foo Fighters etc.) and we'd like this reflected in these teaser ads, namely that they resemble gig posters in a similar style to the attached, and can also be adapted and printed as posters in A0/A1/A2 etc sizes for sale in our web store, and one also adaptable for use as our website splash page until we launch. Quality, originality, and attention to detail are key. We would also require two further ad/poster designs immediately post-launch, and more in the future, all being well.

Our brand is also heavily influenced from the custom motorcycle scene, with companies such as Deus Ex, El Solitario, and old Empire Motorcycles guiding our style and aesthetic. We'd like three t-shirt designs and two baseball cap designs created in styles similar to those found in the web stores of those brands and others; cool designs that represent a rebellious attitude but reflect the same quality and craftsmanship evident in our vehicles.

We require designs for business cards, a letterhead, a compliments slip, and invoice template.

Who Are We Looking For?

A freelancer with the experience and vision to take our brand on to the next level, utilising pre-existing assets and creating new content to really make us stand out from the crowd. We envisage the successful candidate being skilled in illustration, graphic design, and branding, and will ideally be able to demonstrate employment of our favoured design styles in their portfolio.

Project Delivery Schedule:

We aim to launch the brand later in the summer around the third week in August, but we'd like to get the ball rolling ASAP in order to complete ASAP as we need our ducks in a row well before then. There is some flexibility in the budget, depending upon the outcome of discussions with the chosen candidate. There is the potential for this relationship to extend well beyond the initial project.
