An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic WordPress Developer to become an integral part of an expanding Surrey based agency. Your role would be focused on building bespoke WordPress websites with pixel perfect accuracy and is perfect for an individual who is looking to grow within a fast paced and creative environment. The types of sites will be varied with all levels of complexity and industries explored. The role is full-time, but a part-time role may be considered, with the salary negotiable based on experience and working hours. 

Due to the current situation all employees are currently working from home. Long term, some remote working will be considered, but you will also be required to travel and work from the studio. Our studio is in a picturesque semi-rural location so your own transport will be required.

The ideal candidate would have:

A strong understanding of the workings and capabilities of WordPress with the ability to build fully bespoke themes from custom designs - There are no ‘of the shelf’ themes used here.

Design awareness and understanding.

Great communication skills with the ability to deal with clients from the start to the end of a project if required. 

Full knowledge and implementation of responsive design, usability and browser testing.

Passion and enthusiasm is a must, being a pro-active team member that follows best practices but has a desire to push new trends.

Key requirements:

Fluent in HTML/CSS.
Working knowledge of JS and PHP.
WordPress (Fully bespoke themes & relevant PHP knowledge).
WordPress Plugins: WooCommerce & Custom Fields.

Dealing and setting up databases for WordPress.
Experience in common third party API’s such as Google, Facebook etc.

A basic understanding behind SEO.

Photoshop, Illustrator and Creative Cloud.
