Copywriter: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family:

Here at Vans, our purpose is to enable creative expression - and inspire youth culture - by celebrating and encouraging the Off the Wall attitude that comes from expressing your true self. We are searching for an individual that stands out from the rest; one who catches our eyes with their confident demeanor and unwavering curiosity. We need someone who is a visionary with a stream of innovative ideas that will transform the action sports industry. In this role, you will be applying the marketing strategy, formulating concepts, executing and writing against them for ad campaigns in print, film, outdoor and social. You will work on developing a knowledge of the brand and market. With your knowledge and skill set, you will work with their counterparts in Environmental Design and Product helping to translate the approved concepts to retail and packaging. You will write copy for catalogs, look books, and other print collateral.


How You Will Make a Difference:

Takes the lead on seasonal product stories.

·        Works with Integrated team to develop creative concepts and executions of assign product(s).

Partners with marketing counterpart to understand consumer research.

·        Presents concepts to senior creative personnel.

·        Mentors junior creative staff.

Remains current on industry trends and technology.


Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 4+ years.

Educational/ Position Requirements:

·        A minimum of an Associates (2 year) degree in advertising. A Bachelor (4 year) degree in English, literature, journalism, or creative writing is preferred.

·        4+ years design experience in an agency setting or editorial department is required.



·        Working knowledge of the English language expected. There, their, and they’re type stuff.

·        Fluency in current advertising creativity, writing, strategy, design, and culture trends expected.

·        Willingness to live our brand value (fun) and think our job descriptions are catchy.
