Job Purpose and Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced UX/UI Designer to work in a highly driven team, who like to tackle business challenges head-on, while also working creatively to devise practical solutions to meet the demanding and challenging business needs across Canon EMEA E-commerce sites.

With the experience of strategic thinking and problem solving, you’ll have a passion for customers and all things digital. You’ll also be willing to get hands-on with the day to day activities of the role such as optimisation work, user testing and tackling insights and analytics. What we ask:

As UX/UI Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Defining, designing and managing the governance of key user journeys/experiences across EMEA e-commerce sites (including key digital touch points). Development of wireframes, designs for new features/functionalities and CRO tests.
  • Designing and presenting UX work back to business stakeholders and manage through from approval to execution. Educate relevant stakeholders on UX best practice.
  • Producing detailed UX deliverables including user journeys, site maps, annotated wireframes, prototypes, visual designs and UI spec docs.
  • Ability to translate UX deliverables for responsive and adaptive designs across devices and operating systems
  • AGILE scrum delivery - working with business teams, Business Analysts, UI Developers, Back-end Developers and Product Owners in a sprint cadence.
  • Designing the final UI outcomes of website in accordance with Canon’s brand identity guidelines.
  • Documenting UI style guides and components to ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Help provide mentoring to junior members of the team and wider trainings on UX best practice to the wider stakeholders.

You will need:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design skills with e-commerce experience – including interaction and Information Architecture design, psychology and user-centred design principles
  • Familiarity with web, iOS, and Android design patterns
  • Sound knowledge and experience of creating wire framing and prototypes based on user research and best practice using prototyping tools like Adobe XD
  • An eye for visual consistency and passionate about making the aesthetics of digital resources as exceptional as their function. Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Sketch
  • Experience in planning and executing user testing
  • Demonstrable experience of content targeting and testing methodologies (e.g. A/B and multivariate testing)
  • Experience with data analytics and optimisation tools such as Google Analytics, Optimizely and Clicktale would be desirable, but not essential
  • Solid understanding of front-end, back-end and the software development life cycle would be a great advantage (HTML5, CSS3, JS / JQuery)
  • AGILE scrum experience, working in sprints, with backlogs and feature sets and use of project tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
