Your role in the team:

Working as part of the William Hill US Product Development team and driving our exciting US business and technology expansion with potential future opportunities in the US you’ll be a key member of our product development team, collaborating with our US Retail Product team to help transform our vision and roadmap into easy-to-use, best in class products for our customer. Working with other designers, developers and product managers you’ll innovate, provide constructive criticism and improve output efficiency and quality.

You’ll have a strong UX process and the ability to justify every design decision, ensure it is all documented and available for stakeholders to review, ensuring solutions are clearly presented to the retail team and wider UX team. Your ideas and concepts will be backed up through the use of data and customer research and you’ll ensure all deadlines are met and work is signed-off ahead of due dates.

Providing support to developers throughout the build you’ll ensure designs are being correctly implemented. You’ll be creating design proposals using sketches, wireframes, UI designs and prototyping and participating in usability sessions ensuring the customer’s voice remains the focus of any project. You’ll be able to iterate your designs quickly whilst incorporating relevant feedback from stakeholders and will to support the upskilling of front-end developers and product managers in the prototyping / UX techniques / tools.

With consistent and on brand in design you’ll ensure the design pattern library is always followed when possible. You’ll have a strong sense of modern design culture and agile methodologies and will be able to measure success on Data, Analytics, Conversion rates and qualitative feedback.

Skills Needed:

You’ll have a strong background in UX and/or UI Designer, with an excellent grasp of UX best practices & design trends, and an extensive portfolio to back it up. You’ll have best-in-class design, wireframe (low and high fidelity) and prototyping skills using tools such as Figma, Marvel and Invision and will be well-versed in a variety of User Research methods and practices, and subsequent evolution of products based on findings.

You’ll be comfortable presenting to stakeholders, feature teams and external clients or partners and have the ability to plan, lead and document workshops, user research sessions and focus groups. You’ll be someone who enjoys collaborating and solving problems with others, keeps solutions as simple as possible and be able to communicate clearly about your designs and advocate your opinions. A keen interest in sports/betting or experience experience in this industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
