Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in a user experience (UX) design role.
  • Experience managing or leading design teams.
  • Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications.

As a User Experience (UX) leader, you help define and drive the future of Google design. You identify and set product strategy, envision complex UX ecosystems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You possess a clear vision of the future of user experience and have the courage to pursue forward-thinking design.

In this role, you will apply your passion for brand, craft, and design fidelity to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of your team, and collaborate with leaders of other UX and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Google’s products.

The Google Fit team works closely with Devices and Services, Google Health, Wear OS, and external partners to provide Google's lifestyle fitness app. We create engaging, insightful, simple, and motivating experiences for users of our app. As a UX Design Lead and Manager within Google Fit, you will manage a multidisciplinary design and user research team in London focused on Google Fit UX efforts

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX designers. Lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices.
  • Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time.
  • Build relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside their core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
  • Foster Google’s culture and principles within the team, while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Engineering/Product Management peers to create vision strategy for key products.
