Job Description Details

Right now we have an exciting opportunity for a Studio Co-ordinator to join our Backstage team on a Fixed Term Contract working at our Media and Commerce Centre based in Chiswick Park, West London.

There’s a lot to get excited about as Studio Co-ordinator here at QVC as you’ll have the opportunity to gain vital operational experience and knowledge within a fast paced and fun live studio environment.

Reporting to the Studio Manager you’ll be responsible for prepping our products prior to live shows, flexing those creative muscles so that each product is displayed in a way to create the best visual impact (using whatever props you’d like to help). You’ll coordinate with the Line Producers, Presenters, Guests and Studio Managers; answering queries and ensuring the needs of each are met so that each show runs smoothly. You’ll also prep our on-air talent and make sure the sets look just right with the help of our studio set dresser!

This is a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same, we’re not kidding. We’re on air 24/7 and transmit 16 hours of live television every day between 9am and 1am so this role does involve shift work and weekends.

We’re looking for someone who ideally has a degree/diploma in Media Studies or equivalent, along with experience in a live studio environment. As you can see you’ll talk to a lot of different people as Studio Co-ordinator here, so you must also have the ability to communicate effectively. Finally we like an accident-free studio, and so a good understanding of studio Health and Safety best practice is needed.

If you can see yourself thriving in a role like this we’d love to hear from you.
