Your Role in the Team:

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Staff Product Designer with a focus on Design Systems to join our team and help create the UK's best betting experience; You'll be part of a multi-discipline design team working across sports and gaming, helping to deliver new products, services and implement a multi-brand design system. 

You will be primarily responsible for designing UI components, patterns, styles, and assets that align with the Helix Design System. Your role will also involve creating documentation and establishing processes that ensure the correct usage and seamless delivery of these design elements. Additionally, you will advocate for the Helix Design System, promoting its adoption and educating stakeholders on its benefits. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliverables: Crafting foundational UI components such as buttons, Icons, labels, modals, dropdowns, headers, footers etc., that enable our design team to scale the Helix Design system and deliver quality player experiences. 
  • Strategy: Facilitate the cadence of the Helix Design System releases by conducting design sessions and proactively monitoring, evaluating, and soliciting feedback to guide ongoing improvements and promote the adoption of the Helix Design System throughout the organisation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and product owners to promote consistency and efficiency in design outputs across all our brands, products and services, prioritising usability, accessibility, and optimisation.
  • Advocacy: Use facilitative leadership skills to drive the best business outcome, resulting in others learning from you and inspiring others to want to work with you. Contribute and advocate the Helix Design System and the visual language of our brand, ensuring a cohesive experience across our platforms.

Main skills we’re looking for: 

  • Previous experience in a Product /UI /Design System role creating, contributing, and maintaining a Figma design system and component library.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating samples of best practice design system deliverables (brand foundations, components, interaction design, iconography, prototypes, documentation and guidelines for designers and engineers, including accessible Figma links)
  • Proficiency in systems thinking for design, including a deep understanding of User-Centred Design and expertise in implementing usability best practices.
  • Experience in mobile application design and responsive web design principles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of various design tools, including Figma and other industry-standard software.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively articulating design solutions to stakeholders at all levels and proven ability to collaborate closely with front-end engineering teams.
  • Eye for detail, ensuring that design elements are consistent and cohesive across multiple platforms and devices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Deep knowledge of design principles and methods, prototyping and rapid experimentations to collect the product and user behavioural insights. 
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results and negotiation. 
  • Expertise in conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment, and leverage communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to producing high-quality work deliverable components and design system maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate openly and transparently, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Extensive experience in UX/UI or product design role.
