Job Overview: Strategize, prioritize and drive PR initiatives for 59th Street for all internal and external special events, promotions and partnerships. Execute high performance events aligned to company business and marketing objectives. Act as liaison between Central organization and 59th Street to convey PR programs to ensure excitement of Bloomingdale’s Flagship. Aligned with the central vision, the Manager will create animation to drive traffic and enhance sales.  

Essential Functions:

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of in-store event planning and execution. • Develop community relations strategies involving charitable giving, in-kind donations and in-store special events. • Enhance the brand within the community by securing event sponsorships and co-branding opportunities. • Partner with Central Media and Social Media teams on opportunities and outreach to support company initiatives. • Manage budgets and administrative duties related to events. • Partner with central PR to support Bloomingdale’s philanthropic initiatives. • Partner with 59th Street senior team, buyers, and vendors to plan and execute special events. • Execute central core marketing objectives and strategies to roll out creative programs. • Ability to work as a strong leader with peers and store management team. • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.  
  Qualifications: Education/Experience: • 4 year college degree. • 3 - 5 years of experience, preferably within Retail, Fashion, Magazine, and/or PR Agency. 
    Communication Skills: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
    Mathematical Skills: • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and analytical skills.
    Reasoning Ability: • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to manage projects and prioritize next steps with diverse peer and senior teams.   • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Physical Demands: • This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting, hearing, and talking.  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.  • Involves ability to use computer, mouse, keyboard which may involve manual dexterity. • May be a need to move or lift items under 10 pounds.
    Other Skills: • Ability to balance competing priorities. • Strong follow–up skills and sense of urgency. • Proven ability to build strategic alliances/relationships. • Must be highly organized, detailed and thorough, creative and motivated with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. • Must be a strong team player, express self-initiative and demonstrate problem solving skills. • Proven ability to build strategic alliances/relationships.
