As Social Media Manager you will be developing and managing the social media strategy for Crystal Ski Holidays and Lakes & Mountains. The role will focus on guiding the brands to maximise audience engagement and minimise negativity, using community management, customer care and performance based activity to acquire, retain and convert a qualified customer base, ultimately increasing brand awareness, brand recommendation and endorsement, and visitors to both brands’ websites.

The Social Media Manager is also responsible for developing the ski influencer engagement strategy to reach out to and engage the digital community. 

The role will involve working with teams across the business from brand, PR and the other marketing channels, to content, the Overseas teams and the Customer Service team.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities of the Social Media Manager include:

  • Creating and implementing the social media strategy for Crystal and Lakes & Mountains ensuring each channel is managed appropriately to deliver maximum ROI and results.
  • Curating innovative and engaging ideas for content to publish on social channels.
  • Managing all aspects of the social media budget.
  • Developing the influencer and outreach strategy.
  • Setting KPIs and reporting on performance of all social media activities.
  • Working with Bought Media to advise on content and tone of social display advertising.
  • Working with the Brand team to bring campaigns to life in the social channels.

Confident in community management, we’ll be looking to you as our Social Media Manager to assist the in-house Digital Response team with complaint handling on social channels. You’ll also be providing support to the business for social communications in response to any major incidents. As social media is central to the operations of Crystal this role will occasionally include out of hours work on various departure weekends, as a minimum through the months of December to April.

• Excellent communicator with internal departments and external agencies/suppliers.
• Travel industry experience and/or a passion for skiing is desirable.
