In this position you will own the Social RM program, driving strategy, execution, measurement and reporting of paid social media marketing campaigns along the consumer lifecycle for Windows and Surface. You will partner with integrated marketing relationship marketing, creative leads, consumer data and analytics, web, media, consumer insights and global product marketing to drive and develop paid social campaigns. Partner with social media agencies in delivering social content and campaigns that include apps, videos, message posts, offers and more.  Do all of this with a fan focused spirit, putting our fans front and center of all executions, with the ultimate goal of increasing our customer lifetime value.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and project manage paid social media campaigns and programs across owned social channels, targeted to new and existing customers. Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure program effectiveness.


Monitor and optimize campaigns on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of campaigns.


Design experiments to build into each and every campaign, in order to derive critical insights on audience segments, creatives, ad placements, etc.


Be a close partner with our relationship marketing team (Consumer Growth Center) to align paid social programs with email and in-product activities, goals, and priorities. Work with the CGC team to advance paid social to be more "modern marketing," brainstorming ways to leverage machine learning, triggers, and automation.
Regularly report back on all campaigns and programs, analyzing all results, deriving insights, and making recommendations on future actions. Look for new ways to measure long-term impact of Social RM campaigns on customer engagement and retention.


Work with social media and agency partners to deliver a overarching Social RM strategy, aligned with key business priorities, and produce and secure all content required for paid social media campaigns, including video, apps, message posts, etc.


Manage a paid social budget, making recommendations on where and when to invest limited dollars. Make data-backed proposals for additional funding often.


Partner with global marketing communications functions (creative, media, Consumer Engagement), as well as relationship marketing, web, PR, events, retail and global product marketing teams.


Be a passionate advocate for our fans and followers ensuring we give them the most relevant, engaging and “worth their while” content via owned channels.
 

Qualifications:

BA/BS in applicable area of study preferred.

 4+ years progressive experience in social media marketing at a recognized interactive agency or with a leading CPG, entertainment, technology or consumer brand. Social media experience in entertainment or hardware (games, music, video/tv, consumer technology) a plus.


Strong track record of managing and executing high visibility social media campaigns and social activations with proven experience and strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram etc.) and how they can be leveraged for different scenarios and against different strategies.


Experience with managaging paid social campaigns and deep knowledge of paid social advertising, especially in Facebook and Instagram.


Solid project and time management skills and proven experience in managing multi-million dollar social campaign production budgets effectively and efficiently.


Strong understanding of social analytics, research, metrics and KPIs with the ability to drawn insight to strengthen social strategy and plans.


Proven ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed organization across multiple groups and business owners.
Must have the ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business.


Must be able to work independently, making strategic decisions based on data and priorities, without direct instruction.
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships. Including presenting to senior management.
