We are looking for a mid-weight designer who specialises in photography, video and animation, with a couple of years under your belt (whether it be in an agency, production company, design studio, freelancing or producing your own projects).
We are a tight-knit department that takes on all the agency’s design and social production needs, either creating content in-house or collaborating with suppliers according to the project requirements. Your day to day responsibility will be to work on our social accounts producing a wide variety of content for brands such as McDonald’s.
One day you may be shooting stills, another you might be producing some motion graphics, another you might be creating props and then shooting a stop motion animation. You will also support the wider design team on briefs outside of social, which may include layout and interface design, branding, or internal comms.
You will work closely with the wider social team, including account managers, producers and creatives. You will use your knowledge and experience and creative flair to help push the visual executions, and be confident to add your own thoughts and builds into the mix for how an idea can come to life and not be afraid to challenge the norm. You will be confident in your abilities, but be open and receptive to feedback and welcome builds on your own work.
You will stay ahead of the curve on social platform standards and industry trends - taking in inspiration and sharing it with the wider team. You are adaptable and agile - skilled in a broad range of displinces, and you get a kick out of being exposed to and honing your skills on different mediums.
The role is very hands on, so you need to be embrace the opportunity to not always be hidden behind a computer screen.
- You will need to be comfortable directing shoots
- Highly skilled with an intimate knowledge of using camera and lighting equipment
- Strong understanding of the basics of design and photography - colour, compositon, framing, etc
- Flexible to the changing requirements of delivering social creative
- Highly skilled in After Effects and Photoshop
- Fully proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, Powerpoint
- Understanding of file types and formats, codecs, and social specifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
- Storyboarding/rough scamping skills ideal
- An interest and experience in illustration a bonus
- Cinema 4D skills a plus
