Who we’re looking for...

You’re a proven leader in user research and you're passionate about research and UX design. You thrive on making a meaningful impact to the business and its customers. You genuinely care and enjoy helping your users, whilst balancing their needs with the business needs. You're in the pursuit of producing tangible outcomes with your cross functional team. You have excellent interpersonal skills and empathy for those you work with and research for, you are a low ego learner and teacher. You pride yourself on your ability to collaborate closely with a cross functional team, not just UX and product.

 

What you’ll be doing...

  • You'll build understanding and empathy around user needs for your entire product team including designers, product managers, and engineers. You will do so by conducting research, exploring the behaviours and motivations of our users through methods like; video call interviews, ethnography, surveys, usability testing and much more.
  • You'll assist and facilitate workshops so to frame the problem and achieve the long term goal quickly with your team.
  • You'll sit closely with different squads, researching, crafting, informing and iterating through discovery tracks until we've discovered the right problem, for the right people and the right solution for the right outcome.
  • You'll open up your research process to the whole squad and collaborate with them all early on. From goal setting to interviews and analysis.
  • You'll craft positive relationships with internal partners to acquire the best domain knowledge possible but also to uncover new pathways of research in a highly regulated industry.
  • You'll present your findings to other squads within Pharma Tech and GSK and you'll give the why behind everything you do.
  • You'll delight in experimentation and test your outputs by whatever means with your end user.
  • Overall, you care deeply about your customers, both internal and external and you’ll build meaningful and lasting relationships.

 

FTC/Secondment 9- 12 Months.

What you’ve accomplished recently...

  • You've led user research for multiple squads.
  • You’ve conducted many interviews with internal and external customers alike.
  • You've practiced lean techniques to get just the right amount of data to move quickly but be well-informed.
  • You've built all types of analyses on top of your raw data, be it personas, empathy maps, journeys, JTBD, so to present your findings back to the team that will be used to drive product conversations.
  • You've accepted that everything is an assumption until you've proven or disproved the hypothesis.
  • You've effectively communicated and presented your findings to teams with rationale and you thrive on feedback.
  • You've guided and built research and insight processes within teams to achieve their business and user goals.

 

Preferred/nice to haves experience...

  • To have facilitated workshops.
  • To have worked in the health, pharmaceutical industry or any other highly regulated industry.
