The role:

This is the school’s biggest undergraduate programme. One of your key objectives will be to maintain its deserved reputation for innovative academic content. It’s about keeping the curriculum and how it’s delivered fresh. It’s about teaching from the diverse perspectives that are essential to inclusivity. Naturally, there is a research aspect to be considered too because of who we are. This will combine with the pragmatic need to foster valuable industry contacts and the creative insight that will inspire our current students, enhance our offer and appeal to an ever-growing new cohort.

About you:

Hands-on working, guiding students to reach their potential will be at the heart of what you do. So this is a chance for a vocational academic to indulge their passion, be an inspiring mentor and valued colleague, someone who brings something uniquely their own to the core team. This means you will need a number of strings to your bow.

First and foremost, impressive commercial fashion marketing experience. If you can combine this with a proven academic track record, and an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, so much the better. Digital marketing, fashion pr, fashion buying, fashion merchandising, retail or brand management, as well as forecasting fashion trends will also be crucial. All of this will empower you to create a rich and rewarding student experience To do so, you will be adept at communicating to a diverse range of individuals from varying backgrounds and have specialist knowledge and understanding of race, multiculturalism, and diversity.
