We are looking for a Senior Social and Content Manager to join our Marketing team here at Butlin’s.

About the role:

To implement Butlin’s social media strategy across both the family and adult live music sides of the brand. Ensure we are producing highly engaging, on brand content, analysing engagement data, facilitating customer service where required and managing projects and campaigns.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract to cover maternity leave with a start date for early July 2021.

You will be responsible for:

  • To manage, guide, support and lead 5 direct reports including Family Social Media and Content Exec, Adult Live Music Social Media and Content Exec, Social Media Community Social Exec and 2 x Creative Production Editors.
  • Responsible for ensuring day to day social media content is “on brand” with the correct “tone of voice”.
  • Driving engagement utilising multiple source of insight, managing the Sprinklr social listening platform and taking a proactive approach to community management.
  • Planning and implementing longer term planning as support as part of the wider marketing plan to include support for brand campaigns.
  • To create and manage the content calendar ensuring team are on resort when required, output is high and resort teams and third-party relationships are maintained.
  • To manage the social media and content budget.
  • Responsible for measurement and reporting of family social media campaigns and activity, ensuring all activity delivers the required ROI.
  • To ensure the team continue to assist our customer service team with responses to guests, to help during very busy periods of demand.

We are looking for:

  • Proven experience of launching and managing social media marketing campaigns including creative ideation, development and hands-on production of social content.
  • Have significant experience of driving improved results across a range of social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • Creative and passion for consumers.
  • Can work with, interpret and execute against brand proposition.
  • This role requires excellent and confident communication at all levels - both written and verbal.
  • Organised, have proven experience of working within a fast-paced consumer marketing team.
  • Strong leadership skills required to coordinate key members of the marketing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
  • Able to work closely with digital team, guest experience team and senior acquisition, retention and identity teams to ensure content produced also meet the needs to the wider marketing department.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure (especially during a “crisis” period of communication).
  • Able to confidently recommend action based on trading conditions, management request or guest feedback.
