Role purpose:

We are looking for a Social creative content designer to develop visually striking and innovative  moving content across Vodafone UK social channels in a fast past, ever-evolving social media team.   This role requires someone with excellent After Effects , Adobe CC, Cinema4D/Maya skills who can create wow factor animation/motion content across all social channels.   Having some level of video production experience support social video content would be beneficial.  This content will vary from reactive topical content in a daily news room environment to brand storytelling content that will ultimately deliver amazing content across Vodafone UK channels.  This role requires someone who is naturally creative, ideas driven with the ability to visualise a brief rather than always reading from a brief.  We are looking for a team player who can work in a newsroom style environment, brainstorming ideas and turning around wow factor content in short time frames.  You’ll maintain an active awareness of trends and emerging technologies to stay abreast of digital creative best practice, new formats and platform evolutions working within the Vodafone brand guidelines.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Key creative lead in the Vodafone newsroom producing social reactive content within tight time scales and help/hub style social content for Vodafone UK social channels.

  • Be able to work from translation of brief and sometimes virtual brief to develop social content  from ideas generation through pre production and final production.

  • Ideas generation, creation and delivery of brand-building socially-led content that helps tell a cohesive brand story on our social media channels.

  • Continuously support the development, definition and communication of the brand’s visual identity for core social media channels.

  • To support the Videographer and Ready Squad video team when required with editing/production assistance. 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Strong experience digital/social design experience within a highly rated agency, in house role or newsroom experience creating social content.

  • Experienced in motion, animation and video editing working in Adobe.
    Proven experience of generating ideas for, and delivering the highest quality social digital assets – copy writing an advantage.

  • Advantageous to be able to use DSLR camera work, lighting and sound for small production shots.

  • Strong communications and inter-personal skills.  Ability to work with multiple stakeholders when required.

  • An excellent understanding of social platforms and their requirements, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram,  Twitter & YouTube, Snap Chat, LinkedIn and how users consume content on these channels
    Dynamic, pro-active, self-motivated, clear communicator with the ability to think and act quickly.

  • Able to work across multiple projects and balance priorities between them, producing high-quality work to tight deadlines.

  • Experience of working in a collegiate way with peers, team members and or/agencies.
