You will have a user-centric approach and experience designing beautiful and intuitive experiences that are crafted from real user insight and validated through testing. You’ll have strong technical knowledge of interaction design and experience creating compelling customer journeys that deliver relevant and engaging experiences for our millions of customers. 

You can communicate the importance and value of shared, collaborative design systems and have demonstrable experience in contributing to them as well as working with them. You can demonstrate influence and credibility amongst your team and the wider organisation. 

You’ll specialise in web or mobile but have strong understanding of both, with a portfolio of examples which demonstrate your ability to fully understand a problem and identify value creating opportunities. You will have a passion for user experience and love finding creative ways to solve design problems and to bring delight to the customer experience. 

At New Look we are committed to a hybrid working model with your time split between remote working and our London office. 

Core responsibilities & experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a UX/UI or Product design type role. A portfolio featuring examples of end-to-end design solutions would be desirable.  
  • Responsible for championing a mobile first approach to everything we do 
  • Able to demonstrate the process and outcome of the evidence-based approach that you’ve employed on previous projects 
  • Coaching and mentoring of other designers, providing guidance and supporting their ongoing professional development 
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams 
  • Knowledge of developing and working with full-stack design systems 
  • Experience in ecommerce and a strong understanding of the retail/fashion industry 
  • Expertise in UX software such as Figma, Creative Cloud and prototyping tools. 
  • A solid understanding and awareness of Accessibility 
  • Excellent collaboration skills, as well as being able to constructively direct action within teams 
  • Actively pursues learning and feedback on your work and personal development 
  • Experience in planning & conducting user research and testing activities would be desirable
