 Working within Ted’s eCommerce team the Senior Photographer manages and coordinates Ted Baker’s in-house photography studio, photographers & re-touchers.

Reporting to the eCommerce Content Manager and working closely with the eCommerce team, the role of Senior Photographer provides all areas of the business with commercial and creative photography.

We are looking for a talented and highly creative photographer who can take our online imagery to the next level.

This role is ideal for a hard-working, creative and self-motivated individual. High standards, a passion for fashion, understanding of product and a desire to create the best quality images are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

To shoot product at high volume for Ted’s eCommerce websites, online concessions and wholesale selling books, prioritising work to enable all product imagery to be ready in advance of publish.

To provide creative and inspiring imagery for Product Photography (Stills)

To be conceptual & creative in the approach to Editorial photography

To be creative, organise and update the seasonal campaigns & Style Guides with creative support from the team.

 To ensure that daily output targets and weekly productivity requirements are met, as well as making sure that imagery is in-line with brand guidelines.

To keep a well maintained archive of all shoots To provide high quality imagery for online editorial features or marketing collateral

To display a passion for creativity, working with the Content Editor, Designers and Stylists on creative concepts, advancing the creative photography and keeping to seasonal aesthetics

To manage all shoots or oversee as appropriate – complete own booked photography work, taking on any complex or high profile assignments.

To lead and QA all creative studio shoots, to take ownership for quality assurance checks on all studio imagery, compile and check colour balance of imagery between sets, sending all work for publish with relevant lists.

To research current styles and trends within product photography for development and growth of the Ted Baker brand and website

Studio Management

To manage the day-to-day activities within the studio, effectively planning and managing resources to meet business requirements while maintaining a consistent, organised work-flow within the team. You will routinely improve and document studio processes.

To mentor the photography team, monitoring their KPIs and holding regular performance reviews. Produce development planning for the photography team, and for the studio itself.

To actively share best practices with the team, training or overseeing the training of new photographers in techniques & processes

Basic Qualifications

Portfolio that demonstrates expertise and judgment in the applied techniques of on-figure fashion photography and stills product photography (composition, lighting, capture, and processing), as well as preproduction and post-production steps

Ability to art direct and also take direction, working well alone and in a team

Degree or equivalent in photography, or relevant creative degree

Minimum of 8 year’s experience in a professional studio photography environment

Excellent knowledge of common digital capture platforms, various lighting environments, photography equipment and best practices/conventions for set safety

Self-motivated but able to work within a very close-knit team

Experienced Photoshop user with a strong understanding of colour correction

Knowledge of Mac OSX and PC computing platforms

Video capture and editing experience a plus

To be able to adapt from volume product shots to creative briefs with ease. Committed to achieving the best quality imagery at all times
