What we’re looking for:

Primary objectives are to manage development, production and execution of high-level marketing activities for two B2B annual events, the International Roofing Expo and the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo. Goals include generating qualified leads, growing exhibitor participation, identifying and growing attendance segments and incrementally increasing sponsorship spend to increase revenue for both events.

You are accountable for:

  • Work with Show Manager and Marketing Manager to execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and advertising campaign to:
    • Increase the brand awareness of IRE and PSP Expo.
    • Strategically drive attendance growth.
    • Deliver and maintain a timely and cohesive message to exhibitors in all communication.
  • Work with Show Manager and Marketing Manager to develop and manage marketing plan including:
    • Strategically plan overall promotion objectives.
    • Determine points of distribution and quantities.
    • Manage projects ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
    • Execution of strategic and innovative marketing plans in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
    • Develop campaigns to grow social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
    • Develop and maintain accurate attendee databases, updating as necessary.
    • Develop and manage partnerships with industry associations.
    • Report on the effectiveness of campaigns through metrics including email and website analytics, use of source codes, and post-show surveys.
  • Create, manage, develop, and produce promotional collateral including:

    • Coordinate details with printers including mail house and print costs, production requirements, and schedule.
    • Work with show team to develop themes, ideas, concepts, and schedules.
    • Copywriting, sourcing images, and gathering supporting materials.
    • Manage production with graphics firm to establish design and content.
    • Distribute and manage proofs internally among show team and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Manage public relations activities including:

    • Negotiate and manage advertising space with key industry publications.
    • Manage press partnerships to maximize editorial coverage.
    • Draft press releases and coordinate distribution of releases and overall industry promotion.
    • Develop press kits that can be distributed efficiently to industry publications​​​​.
  • Manage development and production of Comprehensive Brochure and Show Program/Directory including:
    • Work with Marketing Manager to determine overall format and design, including front of book materials.
    • Coordinate shipping/delivery of show program to show site.
  • Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining registration:
    • Develop and update content as needed ensuring information is accurate and timely.
    • Manage registration testing, collection, and organizing all edits.
    • Develop and distribute production schedule to team and regularly gather team’s input for changes.
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining the website including:
    • Develop and update content as needed ensuring information is accurate and timely.
    • Develop and distribute production schedule to team and regularly gather team’s input for changes.
    • Execute A/B test of website content.
  • Deployment of strategic email campaigns:
    • Draft copy and create multi-step email campaigns.
    • Create lists and segment data.
    • Understand email marketing system and how to effectively use it to send and track messages.
    • Develop dynamic content to tailor messages to attendee prospects based on demographics.
    • Execute A/B tests of email content​​​​​​​.
  • Function as integral part of overall show team / effort in performing additional duties as required. Travel, as required:
    • Research new and innovative marketing avenues to be implemented across the show groups including web and printed opportunities.
    • Key point of contact for the company regarding new marketing initiatives.
    • Manage the research and implementation of niche markets providing attendee and exhibitor leads.​​​​​​​
    • Overall responsibility of show databases including clean up of existing leads and providing new leads for both attendees and exhibitors.
    • Oversee the development and coordination distribution of post-show surveys.
    • Represent leadership within the division by demonstrating a positive attitude, a team mentality and professionalism.
    • Function as integral part of overall show management effort in performing additional duties as required.
    • Travel, as required.
    • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the team:

  • Five to seven years experience in marketing and working with graphics and printing suppliers.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and multiple project timelines.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of computer software including Word, Excel, Adobe products, and graphic design software necessary to produce high quality materials. Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Eloqua a plus.
  • Project oriented with superior attention to detail and outstanding organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player who interacts well with external clients, vendors and internal teams.
  • Previous tradeshow experience a plus.
