Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This position plays a key role in the development of the adidas brand and business measures which are of strategic importance through to 2020.   The Snr Manager Communications will drive and deliver the brand calendar through all functions, internally and externally.

Develop strategic vision for key brand campaigns and deliver against the Key City Attack plans.

This person will drive and land with impact key activation initiatives including brand spaces, media coordination, community assets inline with the global brand calendar and position adidas as being the most innovative and open brand to our core brand audience.

Drive the Brand ambition to land key franchises (priority 1) and co-ordinate the toolkits, calendars and activations.

Drive Brand KPI’s.  (Momentum, Net Promoter Score and increasing traffic to .com by 50%)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a mid-long term attack plan aligned with Global and local stakeholders.
  • Develop glocal category calendar to drive and co-ordinate cross functional teams to deliver against key franchises.
  • Create activation plan to significantly improve the Brand and Business KPI’s for Originals.
  • Manage the implementation, launch and ongoing activation of key franchises in line with Brand messaging.
  • Take ownership and deploy methods & mechanics to build a community in London in key categories of Football, Running and Womens where required
  • Manage MWB efficiently, following internal protocol.
  • Plan, deliver and execution of global and or  WE initiatives, mid season product drops.
  • Co-ordinate and brief  all function to deliver against an agreed plan (EIM, Newsroom, DTC, WHS, SporMar and Merchandising and EKA’s)
  • Ensure global and WE guidelines are upheld during all execution of the brand activation.
  • Be the conduit for all WE and global contact relating to the originals brand.
  • Manage & develop subordinate responsible for community engagement initiatives, WE & global activations and partnerships.

Personnel:

  • Set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all direct reports
  • Steer #MYBEST & online-process for all direct reports with administrative responsibility
  • Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines to ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces
  • Identify and prepare talents within the team for career progression within the adidas organization.

Key Relationships:

  • Local - all functions (newsroom, wholesale, DTC, Sports Marketing, CTC and EIM)
  • Global BUs and global PM’s
  • Commercial / retail leads
  • Financial Controlling (MWB)
  • Legal

In addition the individual must demonstrate:

  • Rounded marketing experience essential across the mix retail, brand, NR,Product.
  • Evident experience in the business of sport and or fashion.
  • Minimum 4 year’s leadership experience.
  • Driven to succeed against set kip’s and measurements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and motivate own team in addition to a wider cross functional team.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Event management.
  • Creative vision combined with practical experience.
  • Analytics evaluation experience.

  • Specific increase in NPS scores in London.
  • Proven effective utilization of MWB.
  • Commercial success and brand health.
  • Increase in traffic to .com
  • Successful implementation of brand communications strategy.
  • Management and development of subordinates.

    Requisite education and Experience/ qualifications

  • University degree in business / marketing.
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge – digital marketing, consumer Brand experience and event management.
