Role Summary:

To oversee signage and graphics within Harvey Nichols Stores, setting standards and ensuring they are maintained. To suggest ideas for graphics and window schemes in accordance with Harvey Nichols multichannel image, style and policy. To visualise the Harvey Nichols window and internal display schemes and to help develop these concepts into reality. Communicate with the Display teams to advise and train on all in-store graphic display schemes. To advise and work on other graphic elements within the business as requested.  


  • To understand the Harvey Nichols Brand and to ensure all graphics and in store signage and info graphics fit with the multichannel brand image and the designs work effectively within the store environment.
  • To design, organise and oversee production of instore brand and promotional signage from initial concept to execution e.g. Sale, Christmas Gift Ideas, special events, banners, door strips, blocks, posters and new shop fit signage.
  • To work alongside/across the Harvey Nichols Display and Marketing department ensuring that there is Brand consistency, suggesting ways to improve/streamline, to ensure the best result.
  • Liaise with the instore display/signage teams to set signage guidelines, providing guidance, support, advice and training on graphic issues as required to ensure these standards are met.
  • Illustrate window & interior display schemes Working to scale to help visualise and develop the concepts so the allocation and build can be planned, and the scheme presented to Board for sign of from these visuals and updating these after the scheme has been installed so it can be adapted for regional stores.
  • Working with the Head Office Display team to develop scheme ideas, source materials and suppliers .Using your print knowledge to suggest materials and techniques that can be used to assist with the smooth production and install of schemes
  • Responsible for the production of print ready artwork for windows and shop floor graphics and signage. Managing projects, from concept through to production and where necessary overseeing installation responsible for Budget Management of projects depending on given project budget.
  • To source suppliers of signage and graphics equipment, building and maintaining good relationships to ensure best price for all equipment ordered
  • To be aware of current trends in graphics, signage, and typographic design and in conjunction with the Display and Marketing teams suggest and implement new graphic ideas for instore signage, window and interior displays.
  • To set standards of housekeeping in all areas of work and to be aware of health and safety at all times.
  • To oversee the smooth running of the department and manage workflow and time frames against deadline.

  • Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Experience within Retail Graphics and print, vinyl production and installation.
  • Solid Mac Skills: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • A good understanding of Brands.
  • Art working designs ready for print production with good knowledge of the print process.
  • Proven Project Management skills.
