Senior Experience Designer
Job
About the job you’re considering:
We’re looking for designers who thrive in ambiguity, bring clarity through evidence, and turn ideas into impact. Above all, you’re passionate about how design — combined with data and AI — can create fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable services.
The products and services we co-create with our clients are often transformational. The answers aren’t always obvious — we need designers who can simplify complexity without losing depth, and influence direction with confidence.
This is more than a design role — it’s a chance to grow your craft, shape services used by millions, and join a community pushing the boundaries of design in the age of AI.
You’re both a designer and a consultant: confident driving conversations, solving problems, and shaping direction for the best outcomes. You understand that design doesn’t live in isolation — it must connect with business strategy and deliver measurable value.
Your role:
Design and present concepts, journeys, and interfaces, including information architecture, navigation, and flows.
• Translate research and user needs into evidence-based, inclusive design approaches.
• Prototype ideas (from rapid sketches to interactive and coded) to test and validate concepts.
• Facilitate workshops and align direction across business, technology, and delivery teams.
• Communicate complex ideas simply, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Spot opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience.
You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.
Your Skills and Experience:
• Confidence in framing design as a driver of business strategy, not just delivery.
• Experience building consensus around design vision across business, technology, and leadership stakeholders.
• Experience in user-centred design from discovery to delivery (public sector / GDS experience a plus).
• Strong prototyping skills across different fidelities (paper, digital, coded).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design and ability to link design decisions to measurable business outcomes (e.g. efficiency, revenue, engagement).
We are a Disability Confident Employer:
Capgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme. As part of our commitment to inclusive recruitment, we will offer an interview to all candidates who:
- Declare they have a disability, and
- Meet the minimum essential criteria for the role
Please opt in during the application process.
Your security clearance:
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
Make it real – what does it mean for you:
We realise a Total Reward package should be more than just compensation. At Capgemini we offer range of core and flexible benefits and have a Peer Recognition Portal called Applaud.
You will be encouraged to have a positive work-life balance. Our hybrid-first way of working means we embed hybrid working in all that we do and make flexible working arrangements the day-to-day reality for our people. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements
You will reimagine what’s possible: creating value for the world’s leading organisations through technology to build a sustainable, more inclusive future.
You will work with a range of clients all with a unique set of business, technological and societal ambitions, which will make a real impact across the UK
Why you should consider Capgemini:
Growing clients’ businesses while building a more sustainable, more inclusive future is a tough ask. When you join Capgemini, you’ll join a thriving company and become part of a collective of freethinkers, entrepreneurs and industry experts. We find new ways technology can help us reimagine what’s possible. It’s why, together, we seek out opportunities that will transform the world’s leading businesses, and it’s how you’ll gain the experiences and connections you need to shape your future. By learning from each other every day, sharing knowledge, and always pushing yourself to do better, you’ll build the skills you want. You’ll use your skills to help our clients leverage technology to innovate and grow their business. So, it might not always be easy, but making the world a
better place rarely is
