This role will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of Sainsbury’s group – Nectar360. The role will support the business in conceptualising and delivering exceptional retail-led campaigns for the Nectar Loyalty Programme and the Nectar360 portfolio of the UK’s favourite brands. With the creative team sitting within the wider creative hub for all Sainsbury’s businesses, this candidate would be responsible for helping shap our digital creative output.

What you will do as a Senior Digital Designer:

  • This role involves leading and supporting the creation of best-in-class digital and omni channel campaigns for all Nectar360 FMCG and Loyalty partner brands, with a real focus on creative excellence as part of our group-wide internal design function.
  • Take the lead in developing and managing the creation of digital campaign assets for our Nectar Loyalty programme with a real focus of dynamic and motion animated digital creative output
  • Absorb and understand how Nectar360’s unique customer insight analytics, brand strategies and Sainsbury’s customer strategies can be used to communicate key customer messages and then utilise Nectar360’s huge portfolio of media channels to facilitate customer-centric campaigns in an Omni-channel environment
  • Managing the Design Studio’s daily work-flow for the team and lead and participate in key wider business virtual teams – to progress and further develop revenue earning opportunities for the department and evolve the innovation of the output
  • Have an overarching view of day-to-day projects and can prioritize/deprioritize work sensibly.
  • Have a key focus and skillset to deliver digital design capabilities, leading the conversation and making sure our department output supports our business objective digitally
  • Drive efficient and profitable commercialisation of campaigns to drive and deliver on our revenue targets, working with senior team members to establish positive working relationships with clients and partners
  • Forwarding our digital capabilities and support the growth of Nectar’s digital space, taking ownership and leading the department workflow tasks – identifying areas of risk and implementing solutions to maintain the departments key deliverables, and supporting the wider team in workload
  • Help take our Design Studio department propositions to both internal management forums and external client stakeholders; helping communicate our ideas and concepts and continue to help establish our solid reputation for creativity and delivery

What we’d like to see from you:

  • Extensive working experience in using Adobe design software including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere and Figma – alongside a good working knowledge of all MS Office software
  • Excellent knowledge of design, copy and tone of voice principles and how to adapt and apply these based on stakeholder requirements
  • Experience in a commercially driven environment, understanding commercial strategies and forecasting budgets
  • Broad understanding/knowledge of FMCG businesses and the wider retail landscape.
  • An appreciation for Marketing, Loyalty and data driven propositions
  • Knowledge how to drive projects activity and efficiently to meet commercial targets, with a solutions-focussed approach
