As a senior UX designer, you’ll be relied upon to translate user needs and data insights into world-class designs from concept to implementation. You'll collaborate with multiple teams to create a positive atmosphere that encourages open and honest feedback and dialogue. In this role, you'll communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods from sketches to prototypes and validate those designs with customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the intersection of user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define product strategy and feature roadmaps.
  • Drive complex projects toward clarity and resolution.
  • Produce user flows, storyboards, wireframes, and other design documentation required to develop and evolve overall user experience.
  • Build creative, clear designs and prototypes that perform well and are accessible to a wide audience.  
  • Participate in design brainstorming, reviews, and working sessions.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and user researchers to coordinate qualitative and quantitative research efforts, interpret results, and incorporate insights into design solutions.
  • Effectively present and communicate with varying stakeholders from concept through implementation phase. 
  • Balance long-term vision casting with iterative product improvements.

Qualifications:

  • BA in design, human computer interaction or related degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of industry experience.
  • You should have proven experience in designing web experiences and applications.
  • Aware of current and emerging trends in UX design.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq or similar tools and modern web development techniques.
  • Experience designing responsive websites that work on mobile, tablet, and device form factors that can scale for global audience.
  • An online portfolio demonstrating experience creating user-centric design solutions end-to-end (sketch, storyboard, final designs to live experiences).
  • Experience in developing and conducting a variety of both qualitative and quantitative research, contextual inquiries, guided explorations, and usability/accessibility testing.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

 - Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
