About The Role:
As the Senior Copywriter your role will be to support the Creative Department and deliver market leading and progressive content whilst upholding the SEVENSTORE visual, written, and creative identity. This is a hugely varied role, and you will work on a wide range of tasks which include pitching features, community stories and leading on all copy-based projects.
Reporting to the Creative & Brand Manager, you will become a key component of SEVENSTORE’s brand identity and vision. This role will also allow you to work and collaborate with different departments including Buying, Ecommerce, Marketing and Store.
As Senior Creative Copywriter, you’ll have the knowledge to fully interpret briefs and project requirements whilst also managing our external copywriter network to drive activity. An integral part of the role is to conduct high-quality research and interviews whilst pitching compelling and engaging features, adhering to the business Tone of Voice.
Responsibilities:
- Write captivating, thought-provoking brand narratives that inspire behaviour change
- Simplify complex information and data into clear, compelling and impactful brand stories
- Work closely with the Creative & Brand Manager to develop original, innovative concepts
- Manage our external network of copywriters, marrying their distinct voices with the appropriate projects whilst working to a monthly budget to fund these features
- Create high-quality written communications across a broad range of channels including video, website, social, print and internal comms
- Demonstrate versatility across all types of writing: short copy, long copy, headlines and all facets of internal and external communication
- Execute all assigned work and projects within allocated timeframes whilst ensuring all deliverables are met to the highest standard
- Work collaboratively with the Creative, Photography, Production and Digital teams on both all projects
- Manage daily and weekly workflow and support Junior Copywriter when required
- Edit, proof-read and provide feedback on Junior Copywriter’s work when applicable. Ensuring high creative standards are maintained
- Act as the guardian of the SEVENSTORE tone of voice across all copy, ensuring consistency and quality for our customers & readership profiles
- Pushing SEVENSTORE’S creative identity and visual language
About You:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience in-house at a brand or an agency, preferably with some experience in fashion
- Portfolio of work to document published articles (needed on application submission)
- Experience writing brand narratives, simplifying complex information into compelling stories, and writing copy for integrated projects
- Proven ability to think strategically and conceptually with a knack for fresh ideas and a new perspective
- Editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Able to work flawlessly under pressure, having the ability to manage multiple
- projects simultaneously
- Keen interest in fashion & sportswear
- An understanding of SEVENSTORE’s brand mix and diverse demographic
- Passion for product and storytelling
