Job Description:
We’re looking for an ambitious, ideas-driven SEO Specialist to join Sage in helping us transform our digital web experiences.

Your mission is to support with the delivery of a world-class SEO strategy for our extensive web portfolio across multiple global markets. You’ll have worked closely with an SEO team, and so will be familiar with fundamentals, but you’re looking for an opportunity to delve deeper and learn more about the role of organic search in digital marketing.

This role involves working with several different teams across the business; both at a global and local level, so you’ll need good experience of working with a variety of stakeholders, building strong relationships and highly organised in the day-to-day management of your work. Excellent communication is a must.

You’ll be the first point of contact for all thing’s SEO in your region, providing strategic recommendations that have maximum impact whilst helping us achieve global consistency in every country.

Most importantly, we’re looking for a team player who is willing to get involved with projects outside of their own priorities. Proactive in sharing ideas supporting colleagues both in SEO and the wider business.

 

Key ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll be responsible for:
1.Conduct research and analysis to support the SEO strategy

2.Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver on-site optimisations as well as business as usual checks as per best practice, including but not limited to Google Analytics & Google Search Console checks, site crawls and analysing new site content.
Partnering with web content management, product marketing, customer experience teams, and more, to ensure seamless delivery.

3.Manage and report on the performance of your regions, ranging from supporting in the creation of monthly reports, including increasing internal awareness of industry developments, as well as taking a more ad-hoc approach to asses performance of campaigns and activity vs targets, supporting the internal teams and directing agencies to take remedial action where necessary.

4.Communication and project management is a key to this role, with direct communication internally with your regions and other internal teams, as well as with our external agencies.
Being a truly global business, and SEO team, clear and open communication, using a mix of Slack, Microsoft Teams, email & phone, is key to everybody’s success.

5.Being a self-starter, setting stretch targets and designing your own personal development plan to further your learning and enhance your experience at Sage.

To be considered for the role, we expect you to be:
•Highly numerate with demonstrable experience of working in SEO or with an SEO team.
•Experienced in digital analytics platforms such as; Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, SEO Monitor, SEM Rush or similar.
•Strongly skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PPT.
•A great communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders globally.
•Strong with written and verbal English.

It would also be great (although not required) if you had:
•A background in Accounting, Technology or Payments industries highly beneficial.
•Knowledge of second languages.
•Experience of working in a large, matrix-style organisation and familiarity with the challenges and opportunities that come with it.

The main KPIs for the role are:
•Organic Search Performance.
•Global & Regional Stakeholder Feedback.
