Publicity Manager for Pan MacmillanThis job listing has expired
Publicity Manager, Fiction
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and pro-active publicist to join Pan Macmillan's energetic, award-winning Fiction Communications team.
Publisher of the Year Pan Macmillan is one of the largest general book publishers in the UK, home to a range of novelists as diverse as Jeffrey Archer, Jessie Burton, Kate Morton and Alan Hollinghurst.
As Publicity Manager you will be planning and delivering creative, effective campaigns to raise the profile and drive the sales of a varied selection of authors across the Macmillan, Pan, Mantle and Picador lists. Your author care will be second to none.
You will also be responsible for developing the trade and consumer profile of the Mantle imprint, working closely with the Head of Marketing. An avid reader (of course) you will be a key voice in acquisitions discussions. With relevant experience of running highly effective PR campaigns and author tours you will be equally comfortable working individually or as part of a team and will be happy to share your expertise with more junior members of the team.
You will have broad reading tastes and enjoy both commercial and more literary fiction. In return we can offer you some really exciting projects and a supportive working environment as well as a competitive salary and a range of benefits.
If you are a Publicity Manager, or a Senior Press Officer and think this sounds like your ideal next move, please do not hesitate to apply.
The position is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for the vacancy.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to everyone. If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of the closing date then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for the position.
