Job Summary:

Square Enix is looking for a Project Communication Manager to join the Community & Services department at the London office.

The successful individual will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills in both, written and verbal, in English and Japanese. You will have passion for online gaming and good understanding of its community with previous experience in running events. Will also demonstrate good understanding of the business as well as billing system and be able to ensure smooth communication with various stakeholders. You’ll have an innovative approach and a focus on delivery.

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Manage the communication of Online Community and Online Business projects between the teams in Japan and Europe and build effective working relationships.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Community team by assisting on target settings, KPI tracking, data analysis and report preparation for online community projects.
  • Co-ordinate online community activities/tasks such as online contests, in-game events and blog management.
  • Manage the preparation and co-ordination tasks for local events, including Fan Festival, and assist the on-site execution.
  • Work closely with the Senior Online Business Manager and ensure the team has access to the tools and data required to proceed with projects.
  • Manage and facilitate the tasks for online business matters, including data analysis, billing system and fraud prevention and prepare reports.
  • Provide translations for various documents and day to day communications.
  • Interpret at meetings and conference calls.

Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:

  • Proficient computer/IT skills.
  • Excellent at writing detailed briefs and presentations.
  • Excellent knowledge of FFXIV.
  • Good knowledge of the MMO and online gaming genre.

 

Desirable:

  • Work experience in Japanese organisation.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Good knowledge of social network channels and latest trends.
  • Experience of working with large datasets.

 

Competencies, Skills and Attributes:
Essential:

  • Experience in organising consumer/fan events.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both, oral and written.
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to concisely communicate valuable insights to stakeholders.

  • Meticulous in detail to ensure execution quality.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in gaming industry.
  • Technical knowledge in various platforms and backend systems.
  • Additional language skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong numerical ability – understanding of percentages, probability etc.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Previous experience with BI visualisation tools such as Power BI (strongly preferred).
  • Ability to use Python for data analysis.
