Within the IBX Visualization team, we believe our why is to provide spatial awareness to everything we do at Equinix. If you are interested in creating a digital twin of Equinix IBXs, we are looking for a Business Analysis Manager, a critical position, leading the development of our Virtual Datacenter (VDC) Product. You will be responsible for driving technology capabilities to visualize our Ops data, providing spatial awareness to our Datacenter technicians and engineers enabling them to operate effectively and at scale.

As the VDC Product Owner, you will be identifying areas of opportunity, determining their value, and driving a product solution through direct engagement with end-users, designers, and developers in an agile environment to ensure product-market fit and delivery of quality products within budget.


Problem Solving/Assessment:

  • Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of complex, functional and/or cross-functional issues (often complex or with a high level of ambiguity)
  • Provides recommendations that consider the needs of cross functional team
  • Identifies process gaps and issues and recommends areas for improvement
  • Facilitates discussions and drives resolution where disagreement exists, escalating where necessary
  • Project Management
  • Creates, manages, and leads larger project plans and resources, executing them using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Drives alignment with stakeholders from problem identification through implementation and post-implementation monitoring
  • Communicates team progress

Cost/Benefit Analysis and Monitoring:

  • Analyzes pre and post implementation results and proposes recommendations for improvement

Coaching and Mentoring:

  • Provides necessary feedback, guidance and/or advice to junior team members and internal staff

Alignment, Consistency & Prioritization:

  • Assesses priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria
  • Recommends alternative solutions, escalating where disagreements persist
  • Manages low/medium degrees of conflict, escalating where necessary

Business Requirements:

  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes the product backlog.
  • Works with the BSA's and Dev. team on solution design and development
  • Assesses solutions from multiple angles, recommending alternatives where appropriate
  • Facilitates workshops to drive agreement where appropriate
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions
  • Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively
  • Understands stakeholder needs and builds effective relationships


  • Responsible for ensuring User Acceptance Testing is fully planned and executed
  • Develops and assigns test cases

Key Deliverables of this role:

  • Product vision
  • Problem statements and scenarios
  • Product roadmaps
  • Epics and User Stories
  • Supporting documents, images, and, possibly, rough wireframes for user stories


  • Proven experience in a datacenter environment
  • Bachelor's in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field desired
  • CAD/Revit Experience preferred
  • Experience of working in an agile team is preferred
  • Web GL / Mapping experience a plus
