ASOS Marketplace is fundamental in supporting the ASOS mission to become the world's number-one destination for fashion-loving 20-somethings. The platform directly connects ASOS customers to over 1,000 new and emerging sellers providing trend relevant fashion from both New & Independent brands and curated offers of Vintage, Upcycled and Recycled product.
As a Product Designer for ASOS Marketplace you will be designing product features for both the buyer and the seller experience. This will include improving the on-site experience with the goal to increase buyer acquisition and conversion, as well as optimising the seller’s toolset to help support their businesses and promote growth.
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:
Undertake both design and research activities as required to help ensure solutions are insight driven and truly customer centric.
Use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to inform and validate your design decisions.
Design with consistency and brand principles in mind, know when to use the design system and when to break it.
Contribute to the long-term strategy and influence the future direction of ASOS Marketplace.
Work cross-functionally with product owners, engineers, marketing, and insight. Communicating design decisions, progress, and research findings early and often.
Champion the user and be their voice at all times, follow and adhere to a user centred design philosophy.
Ensure that all designs are in line with ASOS’s target accessibility standards.
Understand the technology, business processes and data models that underpin our user experiences.
Keep abreast of new technology, design trends and emerging design thinking.
We’d love to meet someone with:
Experience in designing and shipping highly engaging consumer products.
A broad range of skills covering user research, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
Experience designing for multiple platforms – Web (Mobile, Tablet & Desktop), App (iOS & Android), and emails.
Experience in making data-driven design decisions (e.g. from analytics, quant/qual research, and MVTs).
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions to key stakeholders.
Experience with relevant design tools (Sketch, Axure, Marvel, Protopie/Principle).
3+ years eCommerce experience - online marketplace experience or designing for B2B products a bonus.
A digital design degree or equivalent experience and an excellent portfolio.
