Job Introduction:

BBC Learning exists to transform lives through education. That clear vision drives everything we do as we lead the overall education strategy for the BBC.

Our aims are to:

  • provide every child in the UK with a personalised learning experience through BBC Bitesize
  • support & inspire classroom learning with world-class, curriculum linked programming through BBC Teach and Live Lessons–which is redefining schools television for the digital age;
  • address societal and educational deficits within the UK through campaigns such as BBC micro:bit  and  BBC Terrific Scientific

Bitesize is BBC Learning’s formal learning website, which helps over 3 million students a week progress their education.

Role Responsibility:

Producers on the Bitesize team play a pivotal role in leading digital content projects on schedule and to budget, managing internal production teams and indie commissions–to deliver exceptional media-rich and interactive content for the target audience.

In this Key Stage 3 games role, you will lead a team to develop and deliver a new suite of content for 11-14 year-old learners of French, German and Spanish, notably an interactive game which will be used to support practice across all three languages.

Are you the right candidate?

You will be someone who relishes a creative challenge: developing and rapidly iterating on an editorial proposition based on sound audience insights. You’ll also be committed to creating a collaborative team culture, in which skills and ideas sharing can flourish to produce the best outcome for the audience.
