HP Inc. is looking for a communications specialist to join its EMEA communications team, based in the Reading in the UK. Reporting to the EMEA Communications Director, you will work closely with a variety of teams to support the execution of strategic initiatives designed to increase and strengthen the reputation of HP Inc in the region.

The role will include the management and coordination of EMEA HP initiatives such as standardized planning & reporting, thought leadership initiatives, social media campaigns and the remote management of 6 countries where we do not have local HP communications manager.

 

The Communications specialist will be working with the pan-emea and country communications teams as well as HP’s PR agency network across the countries. You will support and provide guidance to two interns based in Reading.

 

Major tasks will include:

  • Coordination of planning and reporting requirements for the emea team.

  • Management of 6 countries based in Central Europe, with no HP country communications managers.

  • Support EMEA and Central Europe comms initiatives (thought leadership projects, social media campaigns, virtual events...).

 

You will be a stellar writer, a great collaborator, be able to understand and solve common and complex issues with creative solutions, possess an immaculate attention to detail, track and measure results, and be comfortable leading and/or supporting a range of diverse projects while prioritizing tasks.

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or International Business Administration or equivalent experience.

  • Typically, 3+ year experience in a marketing or communication role.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid writing and editing skills.

  • Solid organization and program management skills.

  • Media relations and social media strategy.

  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.

  • Ability to interface work across various departments and executives to accomplish goals.

  • Experience working with PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Creativity, style, and passion for learning, experimenting and adapting communication strategies that drive the business and HP’s reputation.

The role will mainly be based at the HP office in Reading and may require some meetings in London. Occasional international travel may be required.
