The Paid Social Media Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, planning and activation of global Paid Social Media platforms.




  • Lead and govern the development of Burberry’s international Paid Social media strategies, for Global and Asian social platforms across multiple fashion campaign verticals
  • Be the go-to person at Burberry for Paid Social media expertise, advocating PSM throughout global, regional and local marketing and channel teams whilst collaborating with organic social peers and wider marketing team on communications strategies
  • Be a key pillar to the Burberry internal Brand, Social and Creative teams, in developing paid social campaign concepts and advising on best on class executions / tactics per campaign
  • Lead the overall global social partner relationships and be a Burberry ambassador to wider industry contacts and peers
  • Be the advisory point for the wider Media team on social media within future digital / native / partnership collaborations
  • Own Paid Social budgeting, forecasting and finance process between Global Burberry Finance and Local Marketing teams
  • Lead and strive to deliver innovation within social channels and develop first-to-market opportunities and technologies with an eye for efficiency and growth
  • Own the relationship between Burberry and any third-party tools associated with executing, tracking or analysing social media campaigns




  • Extensive Paid Social media strategy planning and management experience (preferably media agency or equivalent in-house brand experience)
  • Exposure / general understanding of platform and biddable buying tools: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat
  • Degree educated
  • Extensive Paid Social experience OR experience within a Digital Startegy role - extensive bought, owned, earned digital ecosystem understanding
  • Clear strategy and budgetary direction between platforms, media agency, country teams and global Finance department
  • Provides inspiration, guidance and recommendation across Paid Social activities
  • Collaborates and challenges for innovation with platform partners and third parties
