This is a senior editorial role which puts you at the sharp end of Sky News journalism, overseeing our podcast output and helping strengthen and develop our ambitious plans for growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the production and delivery of all Sky News podcasts
  • Lead a team of podcast producers in the editorial and creative process
  • Commission new podcasts and shape the editorial structure of our podcast output
  • Work with colleagues in digital and TV teams to amplify and develop our podcast content
  • Ensure our content is compliant within our editorial guidelines
  • Review content and provide regular feedback to colleagues
  • Play a leading role in growing our audience

What you’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in podcast production with a track record in commissioning and delivering first class long and short-form audio content
  • Leadership – a manager of people committed to developing a team
  • A solid background in journalism with an in-depth knowledge of news and current affairs and a firm grasp of media law and compliance.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the podcast market and developing trends
  • Excellent skills in creative storytelling.
  • Collaborative and supportive mindset and calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to enhancing the diversity of our content.
  • Applications MUST be accompanied by examples of your audio production work.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
